  • DRAMA CLUB :

    Drama club in Matuga Girls High School is the most active club in the school. It started in the year 2014 with cultural dance by the name “danganya toto” . We managed to reach to the national in Meru. In the following years we were back for the national competations at Nakuru, 2016 again we were back with a cultural dance Janety . We scooped with our principal Mrs. Omar at position 3 as the best producer , we had the best soloist Janety Kadzo and we were ranged position 3. Its due to the following people who made us reach the naƟonals: Kudura Faume, Janet Kadzo, Maimuna Ngao, Victoria Hinzano Swabrina Mackenzie, Mercy Waphuda and the whole school for supporting us. Through our effort and passion to the dance we have been naƟonal champions for the three years. Drama prayers angels from the East Angels from the West North and South, please come down and hear our guest help us so that we do our best Drama fire on stage.



  • DEBATE CLUB :
  • The club is the most advice club in Matuga girls high school. We the debators ,always look forward to prosperity of the English language . the main aim of the club is to ensure that one can stand in front of people to express herself confidently , loudly using proper language . Many thanks to our lovely principal, our patron, my fellow officials and all the debators for making the club successful Debating is our passion.

  • The journalism club of matuga girls is packed with a full responsibility of nurturing students who dream to venture into the field of journalism in the future .Our moto is “nurturing innovation” it ensures that young potential journalist are filled with tips of being tomorrow's journalist. The journalism club of matuga girls is packed with a full responsibility of nurturing students who dream to venture into the field of journalism in the future.To enhance this, all journalism club members normally meet on Sunday , Thursdays and Tuesdays at 9:40pm, and 4:10pm respectively . All journalists gather information from either the television or newspaper . With the help of the chairlady and her assistant, the data collected is normally analysed. The appropriate information to be broadcasted at the assembly is normally selected and some of the members are normally picked to go and broadcast. In conclusion, we thank the Matuga fraternity for their mutual support and co-operation

    • RED-CROSS CLUB :

    Being the most active club in the school, the red-cross club has brought countable changes in the Matuga society . The club has imparted knowledge and skill on how to handle and manage any disaster and to respond to emergency incidents. This is under the management of our supporƟve partrons : Mr Kithuku, Mr Walunywa and madam rose . as the red-cross team , we ensure that equality imparality, neutrality and unity flourishes . “humanity is our culture” eing the most active club in the school, the red-cross club has brought countable changes in the Matuga society. The club has imparted knowledge and skills on how to handle and manage any disaster and to respond to emergency incidents .

    • PEACE CLUB :

    Many times we tend to disagree with a friend, a family and the community at large. Through arbitraƟon, we finally come into good terms with those we wronged or those who wronged us . That is why peace clubs are being introduced in various insƟtuƟons more precisely learning institution. In Matuga girls' peace club helps bring together girls from different parts of the naƟon making them mutually benefit from each other and work as one. Being the youth we have formulated a moƩo that corresponds with their trend “my peace my lif e style”.

    • HEALTH CLUB :

    The most important aspect of one's existence is life and second, being in good health which affects our mind and body and thus we put this into so much consideration since we deal with the human body . Our main aim is to create awareness of diseases, how to take care of our bodies, making nutriƟous recipes and visiƟng dispensaries and hospitals and so forth.Appreciation to our workaholic patrons, Md Manza and Md Damaris for their support all through the club iniƟaƟon upto date we do this to bring back to the society.

    • Leap-Hub Club:

    The Leap-Hub is a club involving innovation and invention . This is where students are given the opportunity to change their world space to their likings. The club gives an opportunity to these students to curb problems in the country and explore their fantasies in form of ideas and projects. The club also enables students to explore different mindsets and think openly outside cages of basic life. They also explore different countries in where the competitions are always held. In general, this club is a definition of world space and mind-breakputs. We thank God for the opportunity of being one of the few schools in the country to join the leap-hub world company . 2016 was a very wonderful year for the club and I trust that 2017 will be the best of engagements for the club .

    The KSEF club has been active since 2012 and has taken projects to the naƟonal level since then without fail. The club’ s main objectives are as follows..

  • To create a positive aƫtude towards science subjects in the school.
  • To inculcate the concept of research amongst students as a way of learning science.
  • To develop a hands-on and student centered teaching / learning approach.
  • To make Matuga Girls High School a centre of excellence in sciences
  • Taking science fair projects to the national and international level is what we die for . Moreover being selected to participate in a community benefiƫng project program; eductating girls in science that is funded by the aga khan foundaƟon was a pleasure. Two of our school projects emerged the best and won gold and silver medals. Indeed we, having the title of the most vibrant club in our school is right.     Progress :

    The club has participated in Kenya science and engineering fair since 2012. 2013 - Participated in the NaƟonal Science Fair held at Kisii High School two students represented the school namely Lizy Chao and Frene Mutua. 2014 - Participated at the Fair held at Machakos School represented by Aisha Mbarak and Elizabeth Ndung ’u. 2015 - Held at Kaaga girls Meru and represented by Aisha Sunkar and Elizabeth Ndung ’u 2016 - Held at bishop Gatimu Ng’ andu girls in Nyeri and four students represented 2 projects each in physics and biology...Aisha Mbarak ,Elizabeth Ndung’u,Phylister Muoki,Kanze Lydia

    Junior achievers club is the most amazing club in the world.Achievement is linked with success and power.its in the interest of the club to nature ladies who will become the talk of the world in the business and investors world.We make successful project from mind blowing ideas,with an objective to move forward.Not are we moving forward but also the whole community. Our ideas solve problems and add to the development of the country. We think high and move from being creatures of circumstances to creators of circumstances. Crawl rise step walk and run is our principle.moving forward from cants to cans.
