In Matuga girls on August 19, 2017
The first lady, honourable Margaret Kenyatta visited Matuga girls High School and empowered the girls to work hard in their studies. She gifted the girls with several packs of sanitary towels; dignity pack and rubber shoes and was taken round the school. The drama club members entertained her by performing a traditional cultural dance. She was thrilled and left the girls feeling motivated.

Due to the increasing incidences of fire accidents in secondary schools, our girls together with the entire school including teaching and non-teaching had a session of fire education where they were prepared on how to handle fire accidents incase of one. The students wre aggressive and grasped something. A small fire was lit to check skills learnt and the students' response was excellent.It was a success
In Matuga Girls grounds on 22nd July, 2017
Matuga High School held their annual prize giving day on 22nd July 207 and it was a successful. As the saying goes, hard work pays: best performing students were awarded for their hardwork in their studies. This was to motivate other students to put more effort in their studies. Best 2016 former KCSE candidates were also awarded. The outgoing principal, Mrs. Omar.M, was also awarded with a gift as in the picture below.
